Purpose: As the salt and light of the world (Matt. 5:13–14), the Church of Christ proclaims the Gospel while also fulfilling the role of stewards who care for the futility and suffering of creation (Rom. 8:20–22). In response to the urgent global issue of global warming or climate change, movements for ‘carbon neutrality’ and ‘green growth’ for life and environmental protection are underway.
