동성애자에 대한 우리 교단의 입장
해외한인장로회는 동성애자에 대한 우리의 신앙입장을 아래와 같이 천명한다.
우리는 성경의 가르침을 따라 하나님께서 남자와 여자를 창조하시고 한 남자와 한 여자가 결합하여 가정을 이루도록 하신 신성한 결혼제도와 가정제도를 그 어느 누구도 또한 그 어떤 명분으로도 훼손할 수 없음을 엄숙히 고백한다.
We solemnly profess, according to the teachings of the Bible, that God created a man and a woman; a family by union between one man and one woman; and a sacred institution of marriage and family. No one, for any justifications, shall alter or undermine such teachings of the Bible.
우리는 한 남자와 한 여자가 결합한 정상적인 결혼을 통해 이 땅에 번성하고 충만하라는 하나님의 명령을 인간을 향하신 하나님의 축복의 말씀으로 믿는다.
We believe it to be God’s blessing to mankind when God commanded man to multiply and be fruitful upon the earth through the biblical marriage by union between one man and one woman.
우리는 오늘날 교회조차도 하나님의 말씀을 떠나 인간중심으로 바뀌는 신앙의 세속화를 우려하며 하나님의 말씀에 위배되는 어떤 교파나 교단의 영향도 받지 않고 오직 하나님의 말씀에 굳게 서서 신앙의 순수성을 지키는 교단이 되기로 결단한다.
We are troubled by today’s churches’ and denomination’s secularization of faith by forsaking the Word of God and becoming human-centric. We are determined not to be influenced by the churches and denominations which have forsaken the Word of God, but determined to stand firming only on the Word of God. Our denomination is determined to defend the purity of our faith.
우리는 이 시대의 잘못된 풍조에 맞서 복음적인 신앙으로 교회를 갱신하며 우리에게 위탁해주신 성도들을 바른 길로 인도함으로 하나님께 영광 돌리는 일을 최우선 사명으로 삼고 동성애자 안수와 동성애자 결혼 집례를 단연코 반대한다.
We affirm our primary mission to be bringing the glory to God by leading the believers God has entrusted to us to the right path, and by renewing our churches with evangelical faith to stand up against today’s errant movement. Therefore, we firmly oppose the ordaining and administering the marriage of homosexuals.
우리는 현재 세계 곳곳에 편만해져가는 동성애의 성향을 보면서 안타까운 심정으로 하나님께서 이들에게도 긍휼을 베푸셔서 그리스도의 복음이 지닌 용서와 변화의 삶을 살아갈 수 있도록 도와주시기를 기도할 것이며, 아울러 이들이 지닌 내면의 고통을 이해하고 그리스도의 사랑으로 이들을 위해 기도하는 그리스도인이 되고자 다짐한다.
Witnessing today’s prevailing disposition of homosexuals in many places throughout the world, we will pray that God will have mercy to grant them the life of changed lives with Christ’s forgiveness. Further, we promise to be Christians who understand their inner struggles and to pray for them with the love of Christ.
